Frequently asked questions
Do I need to hold a pilot licence already?
Yes. The club is for licensed pilots: pilots building their hours, airline pilots who want to fly for fun, or former owners who want to fly again. The club does not offer an ab-initio training program.
Can I bring my own instructor?
Yes. You can bring your own instructor to complete training, a licence or a rating on the club’s aircraft, subject to the club’s and the insurer’s conditions.
Can I fly from more than one base?
Yes, subject to your eligibility and a type checkout on each aircraft. Many members use one main base and occasionally fly from another.
How long can I keep an aircraft?
Maximum booking lengths, the rules for multi-day trips and the applicable daily minimums are explained at registration and at the initial briefing.
Transport Canada’s official publications and the conditions specific to the aircraft, the insurance and the club take precedence.
